Starting in 2003, all of Winn's publications have been professionally edited. This is thanks to the volunteer editorial skills of David Frost. David majored in Journalism at the University of Oklahoma and worked on various state newspapers after graduation before joining the U.S. Army. After leaving the Army, he worked at Associated Press in Rockefeller Center in New York City from 1963 until early 1965, when he returned to his hometown to run the family newspaper. After the paper was sold, he returned to New York and began a New York publishing career in the copyediting department of Macmillan in 1968. David worked almost forty years in New York City publishing houses, always in the copyediting/production editing/proofreading/indexing areas. In 1989, David and his partner began showing and breeding Birman cats. David is now retired and living in Pennsylvania. In his own words: "I respect and appreciate the work of the Winn Feline Foundation, and feel it is important to support Winn in any way I can to help improve the health of all cats."
